Roger Bobo - Clinic #1

Roger Bobo is not just a famous tuba player. He is one of the most influential brass players of the last 100 years. His resume includes recitals at Carnegie Hall, playing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for 25 years and traveling the world many times over as a teacher, conductor and soloist.

Gail Williams - Clinic #2

The incredible career of Gail Williams has included a 20-year stint as a horn player with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as well as being a member of the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra and the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra. She is also a world-renowned teacher currently serving on the faculty of Northwestern University

Chris Martin - Clinic #3

Chris Martin is the Principal Trumpet of the New York Philharmonic. He was previously the Principal Trumpet of the Chicago Symphony and Atlanta Symphony. Chris teaches at The Juilliard School.


Patrick Sheridan - Special Session: Brass Legacy Project - Sam Pilafian Preview

Patrick Sheridan is one of the world's most in-demand brass players and teachers. Through the Breathing Gym and Dos Amigos, he worked very closely with Sam for more than two decades.

Clinics: Roger Bobo, Gail Williams and Chris Martin will answer questions from the participants. Topics will include all aspects of playing, teaching and performing brass instruments.

Brass Legacy Project Preview: Patrick Sheridan will spend an hour with us sharing memories of Sam Pilafian, who we are honoring on October 18th with a huge Brass Legacy Project live event. Patrick will be taking questions during this special session.

Your Hosts

Andrew Hitz and Lance LaDuke

Andrew Hitz is the former tuba player for Boston Brass. During his 14 years with the group he performed and taught in over 30 countries and 40 states. He has also performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Kennedy Center Honors Orchestra.

Lance LaDuke is the former euphonium player for Boston Brass as well as for the United States Air Force Band and the River City Brass Band. He has also appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Lance teaches at Carnegie Mellon University.
